Esther Morch Therapy

Cognitive Behavioural Therapist based in Bury, North Manchester, specialising in anxiety and depression

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a simple, fast-acting, NHS-endorsed method of helping us cope with emotional distress.

It works quickly and effectively by teaching us specific strategies for dealing with the thoughts, behaviours and feelings associated with low mood, anxiety, panic attacks and other common complaints.

It worked for me when I was had anxiety and depression, and I’m a CBT therapist because I believe that it works for most people.

Maybe your thoughts are telling you that something bad is just about to happen, or that people don’t like you. CBT can help us to understand that thoughts are not facts. It can help us to find a distance between us and our thoughts, to learn to accept things we can’t change, and to help us to cope with difficult feelings.

Each session is based around talking and lasts for around fifty to sixty minutes. All sessions are conducted by video call or telephone for the time being, in line with Covid-19 restrictions, and we typically work in blocks of 6 sessions

Since 2016, I have worked with people from different countries, different backgrounds and I have developed techniques which are empathic and compassionate working extensively with the following issues:-

Anxiety and panic attacks
Low mood, depression and clinical depression
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
Body Dysmorphic Disorder
Social Anxiety
Living with Chronic Pain or Long Term Health Conditions
Health Anxiety
Low Self-esteem
Trauma
Complex Grief
